For a year I had a pet raccoon in New Haven, CT. She lived outside, but after some weeks grew to trust me [for food and friendship almost every night] and came in my room after knocking on the window. They certainly could do that, but I can't imagine one actually doing that.....I suspect the raccoon is stuffed...but there is a small possibility one could do such a thing. They are highly intelligent and can use their hands as humans can. My friend Rocky Raccoon used to twist off the lid of a peanut butter jar as if she'd been taught to... Ah, I miss Rocky....
