The other disgraceful and shameful agenda that is being pushed is that the execution of Bin Laden "proves that torture works".
I just saw a Bush-era lawyer, who had the gall to call himself a "human rights lawyer", argue precisely this on Sky News, and justify torture.
Of course there is NO proof, NADA, NOTHING, that material gained from torture of people incarcerated at Guantanamo led to the discovery of the alleged Bin Laden "compound".
It is also prima facie highly unlikely that individuals arrested years ago would have any knowledge of a 2011 "safe house".
