If only most Economists saw the world this way, or that the very, very few who do were given some voice and the ears of important persons and entities. Of course this is not so and will not become so. So, we seem to just be documenting and doing analysis of the end of the current Global economic system. Chaos will surely follow - with famine, war, and worse. Those who are least culpable will suffer most; those most culpable will suffer a little, but still be left with more fat than they can handle - for the rest of us a crust of old bread under the bridge will have to do. Times likes this breed unrest and unrest brings repression. I think it is going to get very ugly very soon in many countries.
Note: To those of you not in the USA you have NO idea of how the word and concept 'socialism' is portrayed and villified in the US. The word is synonomous with Stalinist Communism in the minds of all but a few intellectuals. The 's' word can not be talked about, considered and never can any part of it ever be put into practice. I'm sure the powers that be would rather launch a nuclear strike on their own country before they'd allow that.
