Why stop there? That's the least of it. The whole government is corrupt. The president is corrupt. In 1991 the US Defence Intelligence Agency had Uribe (then a senator) listed as a close personal friend of Pablo Escobar and himself "Dedicated to Collaboration with the Medellín Cartel at High Government Levels". He "was linked to a business involved in narcotics activities in the United States" and he fought the extradition prosess of Pablo Escobar to the US to face drug charges.
Also on the list same list of known drug traffickers and assassins was Adnan Khashoggi and Manuel Noriega amonsgt many others.
