Who is Don and where does he get these ideas? Frankly after following the 9/11 truth movement for years it's become increasingly obvious that few of them have studied the visuals of the event and know a thing about physics or how those towers were designed and built.
There is little to no visual evidence of explosions or demolition in the collapse of the towes... clearly gravity events explained by mechanics, physics and engineering. The twins appear to begin their collapse when something happened inside the core of each tower... destroying its ability to support the tens of thousands of tons of mass (15 or 30 floors) above and this mass without support then came crashing down and destroyed the floors and then the columns broke apart absent the bracing.
This sort of destruction does not clearly show what caused the tops to come crashing down. We can only make educated guesses as to what the contributopry factors were. One guess would be some explosives or incendiary devices. But the core WAS damaged by the plane strike... though not enough for it to fail. There was lots of fire... fuel burnng, plasitics burning and perhaps loss of fire protection on the steel. We don't know the fuel load either.
We do know that the official explanations are garbage and likely are a cover up. One thing they DID cover up was the vulnerability of the design of the three towers to progressive and catastrophic collapse. Building 7 because it was built on huge transfer trusses on the 5th and 6th floor which if they failed the core would plunge right through the Con Ed substation. There was something like 12,000 gal of diesel over that truss which burned all day. I'd look at that scenario.
The open office design was a why the twins collapsed as they did. There's no doubt about that. But to achieve the critical destructive mass the columns had to fail at the impact region so the mass was freed to collapse.. very much like a typical CD. Once the columns are severed gravity does the rest. In the twins... the rest included all the floors below the impact zone.
Whether the towers fell or not... the administration had their cassis belli, fake as it was to launch a series of wars and grab control of the ME energy resources. Israel wasn't upset either because the US was taking out her enemies (Iraq, then Libya, and coming up Syria, Iran and of course the rest of pesky North Africa.
Whatever happened the USA had the wrong reaction and we'll likely never know (from those who do know) because the ones that benefited from it don't want us to know.
