The report ia about 1500 pages in Japanese and it will be some days before an English translation is available. There is a short English summary, I'm trying to track down. However, I just heard a report from a Japanese expert on nuclear issues who had access to the report and the report is VERY damning of the government, TEPCO, and even states that it was a 'disaster made in Japan' - meaning that the very nature of Japanese culture [following orders with little questioning, and deference to power] created the conditions and facts on the ground that enabled the disaster to happen...... It appears to conclude that the earthquake and tsunami were only the trigger for a disaster that was waiting to happen; further, that once set in motion the Japanese 'style' of handling such things made a bad situation even worse and continues to do so. It should be a very interesting report and could be the death-knell of nuclear power in Japan and Worldwide!
