A quick pull quote from your substantial post states my point of view which is contrary to any agnostism insisting lack of evidence:

FBI Counter-Terrorism chief John O'Neill warned of such an attack. His briefcase containing classified files was stolen when he was called to the phone at an FBI seminar. O'Neill was sidelined, and as the final insult, died in the towers' collapse working there as a security chief.

Special Agent Colleen Rowley wrote a very long letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller complaining she was ignored when she reported Middle Eastern men taking lessons in U.S. flight schools to learn how to fly airliners, not land or take off.

Dangerous men on no-fly lists flew.

Yet how soon was the story assembled and distributed, much as in Dallas.

Nineteen men and their leader is in Afghanistan.

Why, it's a casus belli after all.

Now, was it left to the White House, or was it engineered at a level higher.

That is, if it wasn't Johnson, or Hoover, or Dulles, or any of the false sponsors (Oil men, Cuban exiles, KGB, Mossad, et cetera) then was it a sponsor acting through facilitators who would activate mechanics while anesthetizing the normal defenses in the manner of an Angleton operation described in Newman.

I found A Certain Arrogance by George Michael Evica (TrineDay Edition with Introduction by Charles Robert Drago); Thy Will Be Done : The Conquest of the Amazon: Nelson Rockefeller and Evangelism in the Age of Oil, by Gerard Colby and Charlotte Dennett; as well as Conjuring Hitler by Guido Giacomo Preparata to illustrate the discreet and deniable application of power.

The towers present as large keys to relinquishing civil liberties (hello Reichstag), casus belli (Goodbye, Maine), and battle cry in patriotic war (Remember the Alamo).

Nice post Phil, The way they left 'W' out in the cold with the goats and children unprotected; then he heard 'Angel is next!'; then he hopscotched to all of the Nuike command posts [no doubt to tell 'em 'don't launch unless you see the whites of my eyes'...he was OUT of the loop. Others in the WH seem to have been much more IN the loop; but I still think it was organized supra-White House and supra-visible government [as they are but a Potemkin Village facade - at best]...but some did play a role.

Yes, those that knew beforehand [but weren't supposed to] were done away with. Collateral damage. Some who found out too much after were, as well or had to leave the country to stay alive - or have gag orders on them. SO much of the evidence was destroyed and the fake 'investigations' were clones of those about Dallas; as indeed the heirs to Dallas did 911 - somewhere in the shadows, unseen by we mortals. However, they are real flesh and blood and they can be tracked down through their facilitators and other flunkies. Short of that, we lost what little we had left of our Nation [IMHO] on that September morning - and won't be gettin' it back until we get up a posse and arrest those who done it!

Not an easy read book...but containing important information is one called Disconnecting the Dots. It shows how the FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies worked hard to not allow the honest people in those agencies before and after; or the public or researchers after to connect the dots and draw the correct conclusions about the phony patsy intelligence-related 'hijackers'. Shades of LHO.

It was just Dallas II - done with the modern toys available to them now. The targets were different, the way it was done was different; but the M.O. was the same, the objective the same, the results the same. Had the public generally learned the lessons of Dallas and caught those involved [at least exposed them], we wouldn't have had a 911 [IMO]....what worries me is that as the public is kept by design in the same muddled confusion as they were about Dallas, the next such 'Project' will make 911 look like a cake walk and even the tiny shreds of democracy and freedom will be removed. That is the real project they have in mind - along with citizen slaves, endless wars, all money and power in their hands....etc. We have our work cut out for us. I still think a solution to EITHER event presented in a way that the Public truly believes and acts upon can still do the trick...but its a longshot given the dumbing down and propaganda machinery in place. We have nothing to loose but our chains.
