Ms. Edison, Ms. Hassan and Mr. Lemkin and all:
Thanks.
That pdf file is a find. Even though I have the book, it is easier to archive and search the pdf.
Thanks Mr. Lemkin.
I misspoke above: The closet coup attempt was not quite a "result" of the Anacostia Massacre of 1932.
I beg pardon. The 2 events are in my view of the times, intertwined and inseparable.
When I think of Gen. Doug MacArthur our home grown fascist, I find comfort in the history of Ol' Gimlet Eye Gen. Smedley Butler and Gen. Chesty Puller. I have no respect for dugout Doug. Its personal.
I get very curious when ever I find hidden untaught history. Who done the hidin' and why and how?
More than a few years ago I wrote a longer piece about the Coup, Lord only knows if I can find it. It however would be preachin' to the choir in this company.
Someone told me to read Mr. Archer's book when it was released. In 1976 I shocked a 100 entry level Poly Sci "AI" when I wrote a " research paper" about the issues attending Gen. Butler and the Bonus Marchers and the Coup.
Sources were "The Masses" newspaper and Mr. Archers book with the Congressional Record.
I know it is long gone. But the Prof. liked it.
Coincidence Theorists, LNers for example, never seem to pick up on the fact that the same families and power holding groups pass through history in threads and coincidentally appear at darker moments in history.
I am sure I am not the only one that keeps a list of secret team players when they are forced to reveal themselves.
Ol' Gimlet Eye is one of four heroes I hold as real and not manufactured for public consumption.
Semper Fi General.
Happy New Year to all.
Jim
