I just saw the movie, Conspiracy Theory, on TV, which I did not see, nor cannot even remember reading about at the time it was released in 1997.
This movie starred Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts with Patrick Stewart. It was rather long (over 2 hours) with a lot of suspenseful and thrilling action, including a convuluted plot, black operations, MKULTRA assassins. Here is a Wikipedia summary with a detailed description of the plot:

I don't know if this is a proper category for it, but it does involve a fictionalized political assassination.
I wonder if anyone happened to see it and what they thought of it.
