And there is all that precious lithium and other mineral goodies in Afghanistan.....
Of course, the US business interests are interested.
In our local newspaper this story was presented as though Karzai was "begging" the US to stay.
Otherwise he would lose all the thouands/millions of CIA money routinely being smuggled to him
in plastic bags and briefcases.
And, of course, we would not demand to stay, would we?
