followed the link and nada! Just an open, blank, black window with a cite 'loading', then nothing.

David, I had the exact same thing happen. I thought there was some problem with the link too but there wasn't. It just take quite a while to load. I just went away to do some thing else and came back to it and there it was fully down loaded and I was able to read it all.
