I wonder how they would have played it had one detonated and killed millions? Would they have immediately gone with 'it was those dastardly Russkies'? And let loose the rest of the arsenal on to Moscow and Leningrad to hide their incompetence and keep the game in play? Would there have been any mea culpa? 'We fucked up big time and clearly we are incapable of managing these weapons of mass destruction so we will decommission them all' Kennedy would have had a whole different experience as president. Did he even know of this event or was he kept in the dark by the generals like the American people were? ::face.palm:: Were the pilots and bombardiers killed in the crash or were they pensioned off as unfit for work after their nervous breakdowns?
