This has led to recriminations and accusations of betrayal. At least some of those taking part believe that the hidden aim of those who had hired them was not to save the former Libyan leader but to deliver him into the hands of his enemies.
Perfidious Albion - Uncle.
There was always that question mark about Gaddafi that he was an asset of the SIS.
If we go back in time to the days of President Poppy Bush, then Libya was a destination for US "rendered" individuals. Not to mention an intelligence sharing arrangement with Her Majesty's Best & Brightest who provided info on Libyan dissidents living in Britain etc.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, it was an MI6 plan to have Gaddafi whisked out of Libya and taken to - drum roll please - Equatorial Guinea, where he would be be out of reach of the international court.
All the better not to have to talk shop about UK/USA activities.
And, of course, if you don't want him talking to the international courts then stone cold dead is the best solution of all.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
