This is a really good example of the unreliablity of human memory. People who claim to have seen a different Zapruder film on TV, fer chrissakes. They may have viewed the Muchmore, Nix or Bronson films, or even some reenactment and gotten it mixed up in their heads.
I once got into an argument with a woman who insisted that she listened to the Beach Boys when she was in high school. Problem is, she graduated from high school in 1957 and they didn't put out their first single until 1961. Perhaps you listened to them in college, I suggested. No, it was in high school, she said - I KNOW, I was there.
