The list of missing documents starts with Oswald's birth certificate and ends with the contents of his multiple wallets confiscated on the weekend of the assassination. Then, we need almost everything in between, spanning 1939-1963, that concerns government files related to Lee Harvey Oswald. One key file on the list should be the Joannides materials, which would help to explain exactly how Oswald was set up as the patsy in the summer of 1963. Many of these materials are undoubtedly destroyed.

A second issue, almost as important as all the missing documents, surely involves all the forged documents in this case. The most famous scandal might involve how a Minox "spy" camera on an evidence list became a Minox light meter on a subsequent inventory, but there are many other examples.
A dozen years ago or so, I sent blow-ups of three different W-2 forms from "Oswald's" so-called pre-Marine employment to IBM archivist Dawn Stanford. At Armstrong's suggestion, I carefully blacked out "Oswald's" name on the form because, as JA often says, things get weird when people realize research is about LHO. Anyway, Dawn was an expert in typography and had, by her own estimation, many thousands of samples of current and historic fonts.
During a telephone interview, she said that the type font on the three different W-2 forms, supposedly from three different employers, appeared to be identical, an unusual font that she could not locate in her extensive collection. I asked her if she thought the forms were typed on the same machine, and she answered, "Yes, that's what I thought, too."
What are the chances of that happening in real life?
Ooh... and I almost forgot one of the most obviously forged documents of all... the Money Order for a certain Italian carbine that was never deposited or cashed by Kleins Sporting Goods: http://harveyandlee.net/MoneyOrder.html .
