Amazing, but true...there are huge ones, small ones, known ones, 'secret' ones, deniable ones, disguised ones; so even the Pentagong can't come up with a fixed number..other than just about every country or territory on Earth has one. I'll even bet there is one in the Antarctic - against all international law....but when did we ever respect that 'stuff'.
N.B. the best ones in those Google Earth images are the ones that say 'no imagery here'....that's the same if you try Area 51, even today [when it is said to be inactive].
