I agree entirely.
As we know from this forum there are many Americans who see how their own nation has become a pariah state for its inhumanity and greed. For me, it has been a case study in social engineering; on how to educate citizens from toddlers onwards into the notion of perpetual self interest with the aim being the destruction of social cohesion. The old divide and conquer rationale.
For all it's numerous past and present faults and f*cked up poodle-ness, the UK still has a functioning social welfare system - albeit being sniped at all the time these days.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
