PDS essays are always a good read.<br><br>I suspect another reason behind the Dulles and McKittrick post-war game, besides the anti communist strategy, was to redevelop Germany so that it could repay is pre-war loans and debts to Wall Street banks (see <a data-cke-saved-href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agreement_on_German_External_Debts" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agreement_on_German_External_Debts">The London Agreement</a>). I also understand, but do not know, that some of the plundered gold made it's way from nazi hands to US individuals and banks, amongst whom, it has been said, was Prescott Bush and fellow Wall Streeter, Uncle Herbie of G H Walker & Co. Whether this is actually true or not I don't know. But the story I heard was the gold destined for them moved was down the Ratlines.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
