Thanks Drew. My thinking was about the apparently growing number of police killings (extra judicial in my view and therefore murder) and other thuggery that keeps appearing on Youtube and such like. I shouldn't find it hard to believe otherwise, but surely someone is trying to get some sort of justice involved in these numerous cases? It beggars belief that they can just continue beating people up, choking them to death, zapping them and shooting them etc., and continue to represent the forces of the law. It's old fashioned police state stuff that I used to read about in banana republics when I was younger.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
