In the US, there has long been a huge problem with Grand Juries when it comes to the indictment of police or those close to the political structures. Prosecutors work too closely and depend upon the police in most of their cases - there is clearly a conflict of interest when they have a policeman/woman to bring possible charges against. There should automatically be a special prosecutor in such cases, but I don't expect this will come to pass.....ditto for the indictment of pols.

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience! People are obedient in the face of poverty, starvation, stupidity, war, and cruelty. Our problem is that grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem!" - Howard Zinn
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and never will" - Frederick Douglass
