Continuing the police madness in the US
#19
Don Jeffries Wrote:The sudden mainstream media interest in the Ferguson case was very telling. For years, internet activists have attempted to interest reporters and/or politicians in the myriad of outrageous examples of police brutality, all caught on videotape and available online. Much like the Trayvon Martin case, the establishment press, and official black "leaders" Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, suddenly became outraged over a much murkier incident, where arguments can be reasonably made on both sides.

Where were Jesse and Al, and the television networks, when a group of black 11 year old kids were held on the ground at gunpoint by white cops for building a treehouse? Where were they when a black homeless man drinking a cup of coffee in a parking lot was shot 46 times by six white police officers? There are countless other examples of blacks (and whites, hispanics and others) being tazered, beaten and shot by black, white and hispanic officers.

The issue here should be police misconduct, and the fact they are out of control and not being reigned in, either by their superiors or even our legal system (witness the travesty of "justice" when the cops who beat homeless Kelly Thomas to death, all caught on tape, were acquitted by a brainless jury). Instead, these "journalists" and race pimps attempt to make it a racial issue, carefully choosing incidents where the cops didn't act as outrageously as they usually do.

To my knowledge, there is not a single individual or group that has a real public voice speaking out against the inexcusable actions of so many police officers, all across this country.

Why there? Why now? Why have the announcement during prime time television and at night when riots are much more likely. Or when it is much easier for agents provocateur to start fires?
