I was in a hurry, so I didn't have the time to find out or check FAQs. So, it is "enter" instead of "return"... In many respects, "Bleeding Edge" is a companion piece to "Vineland" which I also love very much. CoG planning/REX 84 figure heavily in that one. Pynchon's big book is of course "Gravity's Rainbow." "Mason & Dixon" is probably at least as good (I haven't yet managed to finish "Against the Day", but this has more to do with me and my time schedule than with the book), if different, but for me nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of first reading GR.
