Last Winter was the coldest and worst in my memory - principally, because the jet stream veered further south, bypassing the UK altogether. This was something that was predicted some years ago as being a consequence of climate change.
On the other hand, it used to be common just over a couple of hundred years ago for the River Thames used to regularly freeze over for weeks and months at a time, so that it was open to traffic and "frost fairs" with fires. In the last 100 years or so, this has happened - or is very exceptional.
The weather is certainly changing.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
