Real crisises and manufactured crisises
#3
Yeah, I know George has been banging on about this for quite some time, and like you say Peter, the reality of peak oil should not be at all controversial. There should be debate and plans for the organised transition. As there would be in any sane society. There is even the example of Cuba which has gone through its own peak oil transition. It does seem quite delusional the lack of planning and organising not happening. Total MSM silence on the matter but lots of ads for cars (almost none zero emission or not reliant on petroleum of some kind) and o/s holidays and air conditioners, mcmansion homes. It is only individuals doing individual acts. Not organised community response. Crazy stuff.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.
