USAID has LONG been MOSTLY involved in clandestine programs, with only a figleaf set of programs to even pretend to help the countries served. It is riddled with [and joined at the hip with] the CIA and Mil. Intel. Amazingly, most Americans are not aware of this. I think I told the story on this forum some years ago about my confronting a long-term and high-level USAID man. When I asked him point blank whether USAID was used as cover for covert intelligence operations, he ended our conversation and never would talk with me again. More telling was the change in his facial expression. Despite my parents being far, far left radicals, this man was a family friend as his wife had been a neighbor and friend of my mother. This incident ended the relationship between the families except during his wife's illness and death.

Yup. Wherever you see USAID at work you can be pretty sure that some kind of attempt at "regime change" is in the works. The final lines say it all:
