Maybe I'm a defeatist - or maybe it's just my time-of-life - but personally I think 'it's coming' no matter what the likes of you or I do. There is just too much apathy and state sponsored fear in the general mass of the population (of the UK anyway) for it to be different. (see my last post to DG's 'United! Manchester launch for new ID cards' too). People want security and need to feel protected by their government - and there just so many Bad guys out there to be protected from.
The term 'sheeple' is very perceptive. By and large, they have a touching, but similarly grossly misplaced, faith in the plans, motives and intent of the farmer.
