No one else is allowed to compete with the hyper-power of the United States. Russia is increasingly surrounded by NATO countries; the West did its best to dismantle Russia's economy in the 1990s. But they are still trying to resist and maintain an independent state. How dare they? These amazing new Russian military advances will obviously require further billions to be poured into the Pentagon so we can "catch up." And the compliant corporate media plays along, helping to sell the fear to the public.
Yep, the defence industry will be rubbing their hands together with glee, as another cold war unfurls and a arms race cluster-fuck sucks up hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars. God bless America.
