I was one of two BBC journalists who received the mid-90s story about the US Military Intelligence remote viewing programme, in the form of a manuscript by journalist Jim Schnabel, and access through him to key personnel.

In my considered judgement, that entire piece of history, which led to the Channel 4 documentary "Psychic Spies", was a limited hangout.

There is a wildcard in all this tangled history.

That wildcard is the possibility that certain individuals may genuinely be able to remote view...
