China on the US War against Human Rights
#6
Gentlemen, we are missing the point.

The United States is the "international community" and, therefore, has every right to press its high moral ground viewpoints on lesser nations and, indeed, the rest of the world.

In fact, the US is the new Pope of the new religion - and like the conventions of the old papacy of the old religion, it is permissible to engage in the grossest hypocrisies in the name of that religion.

Please bow down and prostrate yourselves in an attitude of humble forgiveness.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
