Yes I think that says it nicely. This is a distraction, possibly an intentional distraction, from this particular perpetual war, not to be confused with the perpetual war in Iraq.

I still want to see where General Sideshow ends up next. Will he be rewarded for falling on his sword so that Obama can look resolute and tough?
