Why the Globe Threatre was an Octagon
#4
Jack, there is a very large and ever growing body of professional actors (many famous) plus hundreds of academics and numerous others besides who continue to doubt that William Shakspeare of Stratford-upon-Avon was the actual author of all the output attributed to his name.

You might take a peek HERE to get an idea of the stature of this ongoing controversy.

As for Bacon being the real author the speculation will doubtless continue endlessly. But I personally am convinced and this conviction is drawn from many disparate leads.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
Carl Jung - Aion (1951). CW 9, Part II: P.14
