The epidemic is just a week or two from breaking out of W. Africa and into the World population, at large...when it does all bets are off for something less than another World Plague and mass die-off. I simply can't believe that more funds and resources have not been put toward dealing with this most deadly of diseases. Globalization works both ways in this interconnected World.
4 500 have been recorded as having died; it is assumed the actual number is close to twice that. The first case that was contracted in Europe has now happened and one contracted in the USA, as well. Whether a natural virus gone 'viral' or a bioweapon doesn't matter at this point - HUGE efforts must be made or it will be similar to the Plagues of the Middle Ages.

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience! People are obedient in the face of poverty, starvation, stupidity, war, and cruelty. Our problem is that grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem!" - Howard Zinn
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and never will" - Frederick Douglass
