Trust me, from 'inside' it always looked like some weird wacko event....all 'Hollywood' and no substance. The two parties have different domestic policies but no differences on foreign policy nor on 'National Security Issues'....they are only a phantom apparition making one party - The American Corporate/Oligarchy Party seem like there is a 'democratic' 'choice'. Presidents, Congress, Supreme Court and Media are all controlled by the same hidden entity and powers....now as in the past. There actually are many other parties...but the media doesn't report about them; they are not allowed to debate during the election with the Democratic and Republican candidates, and they are not allowed to get other perks allowed the two parties. Jill Klein of the Green party is way more progressive than Sanders...and Sanders is way beyond more progressive than Clinton...but these types are NOT allowed to win by hook or crook. It is a sham even beyond the vote rigging. American the 'Great Democracy' - I think not...not even close....but with good PR/CIA/'American Religion', and Hollywood faux promotion to make [to many] think so. Sadly, the majority of Americans are less informed about their own polity, history, and reality than almost any nation.....they are controlled and have NO control of the levers of power - though they are taught and made to think they do. A Potemkin Village - a Hollywood stage facade. I usually vote for the Green Presidential candidate or Peace and Freedom. They are not even listed as to how many votes they got after the election [hint, hint]. Sanders has really caught on and I hope he can bust up this system...although the MOST powerful forces in the USA are ready to do ANYTHING to see this never happens.
And that's the problem, of course. The electoral system is "their" system and the US elite will defend it because without it they loose control - and the oligarchy will then be under threat.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
