Rusty Rhodes?
#1
I was hoping the forum maybe able to assist me in finding more information regarding Rusty Rhodes!

I know he has appeared at COPA events so im sure several folks here will probably know him personally.

I am really interested in some comments that have been attributed to RR particularly the following, a quote i have found but cannot ascertain whom it was made by:

"In 1976, Rusty Rhodes showed me several pictures taken within a few minutes of the assassination with bottom sections of three pickets over this drain removed. Oddly, one was isolated and quite long (+10") and the other two were short and side by side.)"

Found this information regarding Rhodes but not much else:

Rusty Rhodes to speak on the assassination of RFK
October 28, 1975
Rusty Rhodes, executive director of the Committee to Investigate Political Assassinations, is scheduled to lecture at the University of California, San Diego at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4 in the Mandeville Auditorium.

The committee which Rhodes heads is "a group of concerned citizens with a two-fold purpose: to research and investigate JFK's and other assassinations and to report their findings to the people through lectures and the media." His topic for Tuesday evening is "A Decade of Conspiracy: From Dallas to Watergate." Tickets are $2.00 for general admission and $1.00 for UCSD students.

According to Rhodes, in the three year period which followed the murder of President Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas, 18 material witnesses died - six by gunfire, three in motor accidents, two by suicide, one from a cut throat, one from a karate chop to the neck, three from heart attacks, and two from natural causes.

An insurance actuary, engaged by the London Sunday Times concluded that on November 22, 1963, the day Kennedy was shot, the odds against these witnesses being dead by February, 1967, were one hundred thousand trillion to one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

AJ.

Sorry, but I can't help you with Rusty Rhodes. I wish I could.

It's interesting to note that the actuarial analysis quoted here
is the same one I believe, (please correct me if I am wrong),
that was cited in the film EXECUTIVE ACTION.

Hi, A.J.

You may already be aware of this, but Rusty Rhodes passed away in September 2010 at the age of 62.

Had Rusty lived a bit longer, he had been scheduled to speak at COPA that coming November. Instead, Chris Pike gave a short presentation about Rusty's life at that year's COPA. If you want more information about Rusty, Chris might be a good source. I don't know how to get in touch with him, but if you go to the COPA website and email John Judge, he could probably help you get in contact with Chris.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Best,
Mike

Interesting. I was not aware that there was any other JFK assassination investigation group as early as 1975 aside from the AIB. (Assassination Information Bureau, Cambridge MA).

Sorry to hear about Rusty...sixty two is way too young.

Dawn

ps Greg those are the exact same words form the end of Executive Action.

Some fascinating* accounts:

*Fascinating considering it was the year Geraldo screened Zapruder to America, a year of Ford and Rockefeller and Bush (oh my),
a year of Schweiker and Church and Hoffa Vanishes After Giancana's Mouth Develops .22 Cal. Cavities, after Garrison's crucifixion and before Blakey's blasphemy, a year of Last Chopper Out of the War Kennedy Was Killed to Wage. . . .

Many thanks Phil.

Looks like Mr Rhodes was another early pioneer for truth since he started interviewing people in 1968. would still love to be able to connect the quote regarding the fence pailings?
