Mae Brussell was my mentor and my friend for over 15 years before her death in 1988. She was a California housewife who was deeply affected by the assassination of President Kennedy and she began to clip papers and study it from the start. Eventually, she would compile over 1,800 pages of cross-reference indexing of the Warren Commission Report and 26 volumes of evidence. She clipped 15 daily newspapers, read over 150 periodicals a month, and over 500 books a year breaking down the ongoing illegal, covert and deadly activities of an invisible government that took charge of America in the aftermath of the successful coup d'etat of November 22, 1963.

I first contacted Mae after the Watergate break-in. I had been studying the JFK assassination since 1967. I recognized all five of the names in the newspaper of the men arrested that night, since they had been part of the Bay of Pigs and some of them testified to the Warren Commission. All of them had ties to the CIA. Two weeks after the break-in, Mae got out the first issue of her "Conspiracy Newsletter" in Paul Krassner's The Realist magazine, with her groundbreaking article, "Why Was Martha Mitchell Kidnapped?", outlining the command structure of the Watergate crimes all the way to the White House. She included a second piece about President Nixon's connection to the Nazis. I called her immediately since we were on the same track. That led to years of phone calls and sharing new items in the news.

Mae did a radio show called "Dialogue Conspiracy" and later "World Watchers International" every week for over 17 years. She had over 6,000 books on real history, 42 four-drawer filing cabinets filled with her clippings by category, hundreds of video and audio tapes, and thousands of pages of her own notes and source sheets. She exposed the movement of thousands of Nazi war criminals, scientific and weapons experts and spies into the United States and around the world after WWII and their role in the Cold War and the Military Industrial Intelligence Complex that grew here along with permanent war. I subscribed to her show on weekly cassettes and started a group to listen to them called "Brussell Sprouts". Mae once said she should not say she was a researcher but a psychic, then everyone would love her. She was good at predicting things from the trails she followed. She passed Rose Kennedy a note in Los Angeles on June 1 telling her that the forces that killed John were moving on Bobby Kennedy. Three days before the Chappaquiddick incident, Mae warned Mary Joe Kopechne's parents that she would be killed. Astounding unless you understand the connections Mae's indefatigueable research unearthed.

Mae's work was ahead of its time and some of her tapes still resonate in current events and operations. Her files are the best assassination research collection and anti-fascist collection in the world. I inherited them briefly after her death on her request that I found the Mae Brussell Research Center in Santa Cruz, CA and continue her work. Due to financial obstacles and lots of personal obstruction by others who knew her, I eventually was forced to abandon the project. The files went into storage for decades. The most recent owner put out feelers for a new home for them, and then suffered a stroke. Mae's family has agreed to have the files archived at the W. R. Poage Legislative Library at Baylor University in Waco, TX which houses the research files of Penn Jones, Jr., Dick Russell, Robert Cutler and many other JFK assassination experts.

Ben Rogers, the archivist at the Poage Library, has the equipment, the students and the expertise to clean, organize and restore Mae's collection of materials and to digitize them for widespread use. The library has a limited budget, and needs to raise $6,000 to secure the materials, move and store them. I am working to help this happen. I feel personally responsible for the preservation of these files and have regretted my decision to let them out of my control for years. So far, I have raised $2,000 of the total. The balance is a very cheap price to restore the invaluable information that Mae's genius and hard work organized to understand modern history. Nothing like this archive exists.

I am writing to ask you to help make sure these files are not destroyed or disposed of in some other way. Time is of the essence. You can send a donation of any amount to support this effort and designate that it will be used solely for this purpose.

I concur entirely.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

I just bought Mae Brussells radio show archives all 700 or so hours on mp3. Conspiracy Scope and a couple of other individuals have been posting them on youtube. A very powerful way to educate people. Thank you for posting this Peter.

Does anyone know about the Mary Joe Kopechne warning? What was Mae B's thinking on this? The standard line is the cover story with a drunken, lecherous Ted Kennedy as the background.

The fund raising for the Mae Brussell papers is going well.
We are over $2000 since COPA visited on Nov. 24 with pledges of more to come.
It may cost $6000 or more to pack and move that large a collection.
I'll need to make at least two trips to CA to evaluate and pack the papers.
I've set up a web page with photos of the Mae Brussell papers in the basement where it has been for 25 years:

Wow! What a cache of information to fight the Beast! That looks like a full-size truck load to pack and move from N. CA to TX....and hope it is not made to 'disappear' along the way! Back on the EF I went into why I and others who followed Mae were very suspicious about her death [complete with the house across the street from her, long suspected as a spy post directed at her, burning down within days of her suspicious death.

[Image: mae_brussell.jpg]Mae Brussell, a gutsy, no-holds-barred, investigative radio host, who was acutely interested in Conspiracies and UFOlogy, died in 1988 of a fast-acting cancer just as did
Ann Livingston and Karla Turner.

By the time President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 Mae was married with five kids and living in Southern California. Like many Americans, she wasn't convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the assassination, so she bought the 26-volume Warren Commission Hearings and began reading, filing, and cross-indexing. With the massive addition of books, articles, and government documents, Mae not only found connections to the CIA and Germany, but began to see relationships to many other current and past events throughout the world.

Mae began to realize that the international terrorist network that made up the Axis powers during World War II had effectively gone underground and continued their worldwide fascist campaign even before the War had officially ended; As one country after another changed hands, Mae recognized many of the same familiar names, methods, and tactics that were used to swallow up Germany in the 1920s and 1930s.

Unfortunately this growing list of countries does not exclude the United States; Most anything Americana is being infiltrated, raped, murdered, infected, poisoned, or deregulated. As Mae stated at the University of California in Santa Cruz: "What is happening to us is a classical case of totally destroying us. And by the same people who've been at the top doing it since World War Two."

In May of 1971, after seven years of research and now living in Carmel, California, Mae appeared as a guest on KLRB, a local FM radio station independently owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Gloria Baron. Mae discussed her views on political assassinations and the New York Times release of the Pentagon Papers. The response was so good she became a regular weekly guest and before too long had her own show Dialogue: Conspiracy. (She later changed the name to World Watchers International hoping it would spread like Weight Watchers did.) Almost every week for seventeen years Mae shared with her audience her voluminous daily research in her rapid-fire, no-holds-barred style.

Occasionally Mae's research produced predictions with stunning accuracy:

On May 29, 1968 Mae confronted Rose Kennedy at the Monterey Peninsula Airport and handed her what she said was a poem, but actually a note telling her Robert Kennedy would soon be assassinated. A week later Senator Kennedy was shot to death at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.

A month before Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick incident Mae warned his office of "the nest of rattlesnakes" that surrounded him and his upcoming bid for the White House.

Two weeks before the SLA kidnapped Patty Hearst she told a Syracuse University audience that the SLA shooting of black school superintendent Marcus Foster was just the beginning of what would be terror and psychological sabotage in the same vein Germany had been subjected to in the 1930s.

In August 1977 (broadcast #282) Mae discussed Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple move to Guyana. She speculated that this might be a training camp for assassination teams this was more than a year before 913 members of the church were massacred.

Mae's most shocking crystal ball research was probably her March 29, 1981 evening broadcast when she spent much of the hour listing the reasons she believed the Reagan White House were at war with one another and asked who will kill off their team members first. The following morning President Reagan was shot in Washington D.C.

In addition to Mae's close friends and weekly listeners, she corresponded and networked with such people as Jim Garrison, Col. L. Fletcher Prouty, and Larry Flynt. Her first published article in Paul Krassner's The Realist was actually financed by John Lennon. And Frank Zappa once gave her a computer for filing and cross-indexing her research (but she never used it).

There were times when death threats drove Mae off the air: once by Charles Manson family member Sandra Good in September 1975. Sometimes Mae resorted to recording her shows at home on her small cassette tape recorder and privately mailed out copies to her subscribers.

Many of the articles Mae wrote tackled subjects that to this day remain unparalleled by anyone in the United States. The epitome of Mae's journalism "The Nazi Connection to the John F. Kennedy Assassination" appeared in Larry Flynt's premier issue of The Rebel magazine in November 1983.

Her countless list of German and White Russian fascist fingerprints to President Kennedy's assassination reached its peak in May of 1988 when she discovered the name "Adolf H. Schicklgruber" handwritten in Marina Oswald's notebook of poetry in the Warren Commission exhibits.

In 1983 Mae's show was picked up by listener-sponsored KAZU FM in nearby Pacific Grove. Five years later she was forced off the air, for the last time, from death threats but continued sending out her weekly tapes to subscribers until June 13, 1988 (tape #862).

Mae died of cancer on October 3rd of that year. She was 66. A year before she died, at dinner one night in her house, she pulled up the blind and pointed out the house across the cul-de-sac she lived on.
"The CIA bought that house several months ago," she said, "and they have been observing me." The house across the street burned down the night she died.
