After Reagan was shot why did the Bush team force the removal of Alexander Haig as Secretary of State ? Bushman James Baker replaced Haig.

From what I remember, it was because he was increasingly making extreme statements about foreign policy that were rattling US allies, and clashing with other people in the administration (like Cap Weinberger). That's the official story anyway.
