John Armstrong has a new write-up on Jack Ruby:

It's a thorough article with unfortunately a lot of tangential information. Builds a clear picture of Ruby's gunrunning activity.
"All that is necessary for tyranny to succeed is for good men to do nothing." (unknown)

James Tracy: "There is sometimes an undue amount of paranoia among some conspiracy researchers that can contribute to flawed observations and analysis."

Gary Cornwell (Dept. Chief Counsel HSCA): "A fact merely marks the point at which we have agreed to let investigation cease."

Alan Ford: "Just because you believe it, that doesn't make it so."

Shows Ruby was connected more to CIA than mob. Which was a surprise to me when I first read it last week.

Good article. I'm not sure how much of Marita Lorenz' stories to believe, though. The HSCA's Edwin Lopez allegedly told Gerald Posner, "Mark Lane was taken in by Marita Lorenz. Oh God, we spent a lot of time with Marita...It was hard to ignore her because she gave us so much crap, and we tried to verify it, but let me tell you - she is full of shit. Between her and Frank Sturgis, we must have spent over one hundred hours. They were dead ends...Marita is not credible."

Not that I'd trust Posner to tell the truth about any JFK researcher, but I agree about Marita Lorenz' credibility.

The main reason the HSCA "discredited" Lorenz was because she insisted she associated with Oswald in Florida and Louisiana at the same time Oswald was in the USSR, just like all those witnesses said they saw Oswald at car dealerships and elsewhere in New Orleans while he was in Russia, and just like all those witnesses saw Oswald doing incriminating things in Dallas at the same time he was clocked in at the TSBD.

LHO must be the most impersonated human being in history... unless there is another explanation. <g>
