New Week - New War! USA initiates major strikes inside Syria with some other nations
#1
911 changed everything - or gave it a good excuse, anyway. Now we have the USA bombing the hell out of ISIL [which they built up and trained before] in Syria! Ground troops can't be far behind. To me, control of the entire World or its resources is what the USA's geostrategic goals are. ILIS/IS response has been happy - now they will get many new recriuits and certainly will do many more kidnappings and beheadings. What ever happened to diplomacy and negotiation? - now everything is done down the barrel of a gun, drone, bomb or covert operation with special forces. Where the **** does the USA get the chutzpah to think they should run the World - we can't even run our own Country - except into the ground. What a mess - a new one of many. Obama surely NOT the Peace President - only a glib speaking frontman for the usual Secret Government. Our current allies in this new endeavor: apparently, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Israel, Egypt, Quatar, Turkey, UK, and maybe covertly Syria and Iran. Strange bedfellows. More death and mayham we constructed several years ago.

Obama loves the smell of napalm in the morning, methinks.

Yep, it's the "international order" that the US has been following since the end of WWII and the control of the world's mineral wealth that underlies everything US foreign policy enacts. If this means that my friend becomes my enemy overnight, or even if my enemy become my friend during the course of the day, so what. War is good for the economy.

Strange timing. I wonder...

Quote:Israel says it has shot down Syrian jet

Military statement says the plane infiltrated Israeli airspace and was shot down using the Patriot air defence system

Israel has announced that it shot down a Syrian aircraft that flew into Israeli-controlled airspace.
"Moments ago a Syrian aircraft infiltrated Israeli airspace. The IDF (Israel Defence Forces) intercepted the aircraft in mid-flight, using the Patriot air defence system. The circumstances of the incident are being reviewed," a military statement said.
An IDF spokesman said the aircraft a Russian-made Sukhoi was shot down by a US-manufactured Patriot missile.
Military sources told Reuters the plane had apparently crossed by accident into Israeli-controlled airspace over the Golan Heights where fighting from Syria's civil war has spilled over occasionally - and was not on a mission to attack Israeli targets.
Israel last month said it had shot down a Syrian drone over the Golan Heights. It last downed a manned Syrian jet in 1985 when Israel fighters over Lebanon destroyed two Syrian MiG-23s.

You should have seen Armed Services Committee chair Senator Bill Nelson on CNN. He was cheerleading total funding of this new attack and said "The basis of the formation of government is for national defense to protect Americans against their enemies."

Straight out of the movie JFK, only Mr X was being critical. Nelson is boasting about it in a cynical way.
