New York Governor Cuomo Bans Fracking

In a shocking decision counter to recent political trends New York Governor Cuomo announced a banning of fracking on environmental grounds:

It will be a bitter fight in the Courts. New York has a lot of ongoing fracking and much more planned. I think its great news, but I'm not sure in the end it will prevail....but let us hope!

I don't trust New York politics. This could be a move to take the heat off elsewhere while the price of oil dropping has made it possible.
As soon as push comes to shove they'll be right back to cracking the Earth's bedrock, which is crazy if you think about it. They are messing with Earth in a serious way with consequences they have no idea of. It should be called "Cracking" instead of "Fracking" because it is the equivalent of crack as far as oil addiction. |
