Excerpt from chapter 2 page 8, 1990 Ms/book CROSSTRAILS
After returning from Cuba my usual Internal Security contact called for a debriefing,accompanied with
a CIA agent. Among other questions,they ask if I believed that the Cuban people would rise against
Castro during a US. invasion of Cuba, I stated " it is my sad duty to inform you that they will not
attempt to aid in overthrowing that government." Giving the reasons,and apologizing for having
to make such an unpopular report that suggested my relatively dangerous and "uncomfortable"
mission was unsuccessful.
