The strangest part of it all is....what are the chances of three Malaysian planes having bad endings with everyone aboard killed and the planes destroyed in one year....I'm not an actuary, but I'd bet it is something close to 1:1000000 or so.

MAS has more than 100,000 flights per year, and the odds of any given flight having a fatal crash is (according to planecrashinfo.com) 1 in 4.3 million. So I'd give the odds as roughly (1/4.3*10^6)^3), times 100,000 for a figure of odds: 1 / 1.26*10^13

or about a 0.00000000000008 chance.

Now, the plot thickens. Asian blogger had warned of the AirAsia disappearance 2 weeks prior ...

AirAsia Crash Sparks Fresh Concerns Over International Travel Safety

"There is a post on some Chinese forum that is blowing up right now because apparently a user 13 days ago made a post warning people not to go on AirAsia Airline. He explained that the people that brought down MH370 is going to target another Malaysian airline to destroy Malaysia's Air travel industry or something like that and it all has something to do with the US (my Chinese is a bit rusty)," a Reddit member wrote, referring to the mysterious Chinese blogger. The post immediately went viral on social media. About two weeks ago the Chinese poster warned against using AirAsia passenger airliners, referring to a shadow organization "The International Black Hand."
The International Business Times cites the original post written in Chinese: "Black Hand hijacked and shot down MH370 and MH17. This has pretty much killed the 6th largest airline Malaysian airline."
"Now the Black Hand is targeting AirAsia to ruin this airline because it too belongs to Malaysia. Given how powerful the Black Hand is, I suggest that all Chinese planning to travel, should avoid AirAsia, so that you don't disappear like those on MH370. You could be happily vacationing, working, or studying aboard, but if you go on Malaysian airline or AirAsia, you're dead, be careful everyone," the poster calling himself "Landlord" stressed....

Very odd. Why would the author of this story resurrect secret societies that date back to the first world war, the Black Hand? It seems to be completely incongruous to me.

One might argue that these aircraft might still be flying had Malaysia not held an international war crimes court and found Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and British prime minister Tony Blair guilty in absentia?

Oh dear. Was this a short sale with the intention of buying them back at bargain prices later? Did he know something was going to happen? Or was it innocent?

AirAsia's Tony Fernandes sells shares in Tune Insurance

AirAsia group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes' Tune Group Sdn Bhd sold 944,800 shares in Tune Insurance Holdings Bhd. Reuters pic, December 26, 2014.AirAsia group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes' investment vehicle Tune Group Sdn Bhd has sold a total of 944,800 shares in Tune Insurance Holdings Bhd.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, some 850,000 shares were sold on December 22 and an additional 94,800 shares the day after. All shares were sold at RM1.60 each.
Tune Insurance share price has been on a decline since early August, falling from RM2.50 to a low of RM1.56 two weeks ago. The stock jumped 11 sen, or 6.67%, to RM1.76 today with 1.08 million shares traded.

After the latest share sales, Tune Group still holds 128.37 million shares, or a 17.08% stake, in the insurance group.Meanwhile, Fernandes, who is the non-independent, non executive director, still holds a 30.73% indirect stake and a 0.01% direct stake in Tune Insurance. McConnell saw how a Black-Hand Blue-Air threat becomes a Lloyd's insurance-fraud reality after former Serco CEO Chris Hyman made his presentation to shareholders on the 47th Floor of WTC#1 on 9/11; after Serco agents diverted American Airlines Flight 11 into the North tower of the World Trade Center for a crash at 08:46:40 local time; after Prince Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson managed to avoid being in her office on the 101st Floor; after Jules Naudet captured the impact 'money shot' for a Black Hand snuff film; and after Willis insurance broker for the Titanic and QZ8501 filed a double-occurrence claim for the demolition of the Twin Towers.

McConnell believes Serco (formerly RCA 1928) hired Lord Sempill to infiltrate Black Hand Captains into the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators (now Honourable Company of Air Pilots with Prince Andrew as Grand Master) for the Blue Air Pearl Harbor attacks of 1941.

Typically cryptic and, I would say, typically, factually free - pulling disparate pieces of information and glueing them together in a different pattern.

My recent emails with him and one of his associates, while very polite and pleasant, left me giddy and confused. My conclusion was that facts are arbitrary things for him. It's a personal view, obviously.

I have similar concerns. You can always verify the majority of his info (i.e. Prince Andrew is the Grand Master of The Honourable Company of Air Pilots) but his interpretation of said info is very much something you have to "buy into", I think. He might well be right, but his style of presentation is very off-putting. I do think he is worth following though as some of his links and documents are very interesting.

A black box flight recorder has allegedly been recovered from this disaster. Hopefully the data will provide the families of the victims, and the rest of the world, with answers.
