Jimmy Ferrell, son of Mary passes.
#1
I just received word from Rachel Rendish that Jimmy Ferrell died yesterday. Cause is not yet known.

RIP to a guy who told the truth about his (evil) mother.

Do tell more about what he said about his mother. I met Mary, but never met him. Nevertheless, sad to hear he died.

I met him several times with Rachel when we were all visiting J Harrison. Briefly he told us that his mother had sent him, at age fifteen, to NO to help sabotage Garrison. He said she was a practicing witch who took pics of all the researchers who came calling. That she was NOT who she pretended to be at all, it was her "job" to keep an eye on all the researchers. Rachel -who is not on any forums- can tell more. They were very good friends for decades. Rachel knew Mary and Marina as well. Last time I talked to her about Jimmy I think he was planning to write something definitive about his mother.
When things settle down with his family- memorial cause of death and the like, I will get more info from Rachel.

I met him once.

He told me that when Tom Bethell fled New Orleans, after giving over Garrison's prosecution brief to Shaw's lawyers, he went to Mary's house.

Who is Rachel?

Rachel is Rachel Rendish, she is a long time under the radar researcher not too far from Dallas area. I met her in 97, my first trip to Dallas. She was a friend of J Harrison's and Richard Bartholomew. Oh that reminds me Jim: Jimmy also said Mary SENT Bethel to NO. All of these conversation were between 98 and 2000 so trying to remember everything is difficult. Should have taken notes at the time. Rachel was trying to get him to write a memoir. He had been doing well, recovering from a long time illness, then suddenly died.

Is she still around?

You should put her in contact with Bill Davy then.

If Mary sent Bethell to New Orleans, then she was really plugged in. More than even I suspected.

I had some contacts with Mary in the early stages of my research work. She duly noted [as was her job IMHO] what my focuses were and which persons I was interested in. However, once I started working intensively with Plumlee she wouldn't allow me to enter her house. What that says about Plumlee I've never quite figured out to this day. At that time she also stopped supplying me with documents as she had prior. She was a gatekeeper and central repository of who was looking at and researching what. Who would suspect that that folksy 'helpful' old woman with the unkempt room full of JFK books and manuscripts/photos/etc. would be a CIA asset and actor. Actually, my suspicions were raised on this rather early, and I became quite sure of it not long after. There were always rumors about her role......and I believe they were true. Word of her role in the Garrison investigation and helping in derailing it is only icing on the cake. Wasn't Penn Jones suspicious of her role? I know Jim Marrs was from way back. Even some that knew she was intelligence, still used her for getting contacts with hard to reach witnesses or hard to get documents or photos. We all got our hands soiled from being near intelligence assets 'working' on the case - there were quite a few of them. I also was befouled by Russo, who really did damage to something I was working on.

Yes she is still around. On facebook and I speak with her fairly often. We're good friends.

I will see if she is fb friends with Bill. Oh yes, Jimmy said his mother "was not what she pretended to be".

I don't know Carol Ann, the sister if she has any interest in this case. Or any of the other sibs.

Interesting Peter. I think at some point many of us became very suspicious of Mary. For me it was the summer of 1990 and the beyond strange experience I had with her. Over the Roscoe White story that had just broken big. At the time I filed it away under a "be careful" thought. I never did enter her home and Jimmy told me I was fortunate as she took everyone's photo for her witchcraft practice. And to build a file on that person.
