America Declassified first episode re: JFK airs in 40 minutes on the Travel Channel. It is mostly about Sandra Styles, (who used the stairway at TSBD and did not see Oswald) but that mystery photo with the short woman in the background is a part of it. I'm going to try and record it to see if the show will identify the short woman.

James Tracy: "There is sometimes an undue amount of paranoia among some conspiracy researchers that can contribute to flawed observations and analysis."

Has this been on before?

Was this the one that used Jim Marrs at the fiftieth?

I would like to see it if Styles is on.

Its pretty clear that the WC and FBI tried to suppress her evidence.

Last night's CNN program 'The 60's' has warmed up a little in the coverage of JFK. If you watched the two Kennedy episodes there has been a noticeable shift in their coverage of Kennedy, his administration, and his assassination. It is obvious that the CNN producers have been reading criticism of their Kennedy coverage because they have made noticeable changes to their previous offerings.

The Bay of Pigs was openly shown as a CIA-controlled operation that was kept secret from Kennedy and compromised him. Although CNN left out the fact Hoover helped Johnson blackmail his way into the Vice Presidency they did suggest Johnson was crooked and it impacted Kennedy. They had Dallek say this.

If you can catch this show do so and take notes. There are two episodes. One is president Kennedy's battles with Khrushchev and the Cold War and all the crises he faced. It ended with coverage of Viet Nam that broke precedent and admitted Kennedy was going to withdraw from Viet Nam against the wishes of almost everybody else in government. They even said Johnson completely reversed Kennedy's Viet Nam policy. Quote: "The US went from a president that resisted the majority government view towards Viet Nam to one that served it". This is tantamount to admitting a motive for Kennedy's assassination.

This new CNN tack was shocking it was so different from the propaganda of the anniversary coverage. However it was still well short of the ugly truth.

I noticed they are trying a new angle and suggesting everyone is a little dirty.

Yes, this is Sandra Stiles episode, talking about the stairway, and Jim Marrs about the grassy knoll puff of smoke. The picture that shows the short woman wearing glasses is in it to. They did a reenactment which demonstrated that a puff of smoke fired from a rifle was clearly visible visible from the railroad control tower.

It has been available from some pay per view service, but there were 2 free episodes of America Declassified on Travel Channel today.

Seen it. They have balls putting an ex-CIA guy as the exposer of the Knoll shot.

They should have mentioned that CIA not only killed Kennedy but also Lee Bowers who witnessed those fence shooters.

Boy, I am kind of stunned at this:

They admitted Kennedy was going to withdraw from Vietnam and LBJ reversed that?

Was Styles actually on the show? Because Adams passed away.

What is the significance of the short woman with glasses?

Oh, man, I tried to watch this show, but when I tuned in asap after reading Drew's initial post, the segment was already over. If anyone sees a replay or on demand availability, please post here.

Styles was interviewed, yes. She stood at the window on the fourth floor from which she watched the motorcade. Alas, they didn't spend much time identifying the window, but there is a photo shot thru the window.

The short woman with glasses - well, this is a long shot, but in one picture of the TSBD there is visible a short woman with glasses and a full length coat standing in the vestibule behind the glass window, whose general size and appearance might be Prayer Person. It's a long shot, but I want to know if that lady is a previously unnamed employee of the TSBD, or one of the other businesses in the building.

There are a number of errors to the "reconstruction" in the Declassified episode that are worth mentioning, not that they necessarily are significant, but should be noted by researchers: The "target car" is in the right lane of Elm, not the middle lane; the "shooter" is standing instead of kneeling and is at the wrong window (second from east not easternmost); also he's on the seventh floor instead of the 6th, which the show acknowledges, but that might be a more representative view, now, of the view from the snipers nest, since the trees there have grown; the CIA guy tells us Robert Groden's painted X is the site of the first bullet that struck JFK, not the headshot (pay attention to that, if you think the headshot came after 313). There might be more, I'll watch it again later.

Btw, the painted x was paved over in 2013, I have no idea if it has been repainted onto Elm St. I haven't been back to Dallas in a while.

Credit for the 40 minute heads up warning goes to my fiancée, who is not interested in the subject matter, but who was surfing the preview guide of the DVR and spotted it. BTW, the DVR is the single best investment, in terms of domestic tranquility, that I've made in a decade.

Weird, huh?
