Deadline for Iran compliance moved forward to September

Fascinating video and transcript of interview with new Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren, conducted at the recent Aspen ideas conference. This guy is the quintessential smooth talking liar.

So it looks like Israel is turning the screws on the US re Iran. September is the new deadline.

Can Israel bully the US into condoning military force against a sovereign nation? Silly question really.

Go back to sleep America.

Talk about moving the goal posts. No surprise really. It would take the heat off so much for so many if there were to be another war. More profits for the MIC, something to distract the masses with from the bank robbery still in progress, another thing to be afraid of and a reason for more militarisation of society and less civil rights, distract people from their looming unemployment, no health insurance, no home, no pension. Some thing for the MSM to sell. A win-win situation. For those that matter anyway

It would be the mother of all Middle Eastern confrontations Magda.

An unconfirmed report claims Israel asked permission to bomb Iran during the recent post-election riots in that country, a request ignored by the Obama administration:

http://niacblog.wordpress.com/2009/08/08...ing-riots/

Iran has missiles with a range of 2000 kilometres, capable of striking anywhere in Israel. A hit on the Dimona facility could be catastrophic. They could also arm their missiles with chemical or biological warheads and aim them at population centres, again potentially catastrophic. Furthermore, Iran has reportedly supplied Hezbollah in Lebanon with 40,000 short range missiles since Israel's ill concieved invasion of that country in 2006. The Israeli missile defence system has only a limited capacity to prevent missile attacks and was unsuccessful in preventing them in 2006.

Then there's the possibilty of Iran closing the Straights of Hormuz and placing mines throughout those sea lanes. Further, it could escalate to the point where Israel uses its nukes on Iran, with the possibilty of fallout blanketing much of the region. There's so much potential for disaster it boggles the mind.

Then there's always the chance Israel could actually grow up, renounce its expansionist aspirations, behave humanely towards the Palestinians and nearby Arab neighbours, and become a responsible global citizen. Just joking--Israel isn't capable of that.

Not that I think Zionist care any more about Jews than they do any one else but if they were to launch an attack on Iran they would also be incinerating the largest Jewish population out side Israel and the US and I just don't know how well that will go down with some. Not even to mention all the Iranians that they were so wanting to recently rescue from the 'horrors' of Ahmadinejad. It would be worth watching the migration patterns of this group. It could say a lot. However, they may do it anyway since it is more about business than people anyway.

I'd say you are right on this Mark. Many would just leave and go back to the US or Russia, Morocco etc if it got too hot. It will only be the poor, the fanatic and the Sabra there. The poor and the Sabra can probably adjust to reality but the fanatics will never.
