Zbigniew Rybacki “There is negative attitude to NATO in Armenia”
Baku: “Normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations will make Armenia close to NATO”, NATO officer for the South Caucasus Zbigniew Rybacki, APA reports, quoting Armenian news agency.
He stressed the intensive development of NATO-Armenia relations within the existing cooperation program.
“But there is a negative attitude to NATO in Armenia inherited from the Soviet era”.
Rybacki said it could also be explained with the strategic partnership between Russia and Armenia and cold relations between NATO and Russia. “Armenia made an important step in the solution of problems with Turkey, a NATO member. I hope the negative attitude to NATO will be changed in course of time”.
