NATO insignia became swastika at conference
In front of the diplomatic corps, at the conference, NATO insignia turned mysteriously in a swastika symbol
-During the presentation no one had noticed any errors in the graphic background.
General Drago Lovric, a Croatian envoy to NATO, could not even dream about of having such a nightmare at the conference "Responsibility and a course of action: building up a safer world", which he attended in the role of speaker. On two panel boards, placed behind his back, which he couldn't possibly notice, was an image of him as well as a laid-out presentation.
While greeting the conference guests, strange things started occuring at the presentation. An official NATO insignia, which took a role of the representation background, commenced changing its shape into a swastika.
:It really did happen," affirmed a Ministry of Defence spokesman, Goran Grosinic, adding that most people hadn't even figured out what happened.
"There were 300 guests in the conference room, with only ten foreign guests, and only a smaller group of people figured out what was really happening at the panel boards, it was merely seconds, several image shots long," said Grosinic.
He emphasizes that the presentation insignia had been taken from the internet and that it contained a some sort of a timer in itself. Besides, it is possible that a hacker put a virus in the NATO insignia, inserting a time limit for changing its shape into a swastika.
During the presentation no one had noticed any errors in the graphic background. Until the very beginning the NATO insignia had never changed its shape, even though the presentation had been tested several times.
Lovric advanced his own opinion on the incident immediately after the conference to the Defence Minister, the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces as well as to the President's office. Military police have confiscated a memory stick containing a presentation and a video recording of the conference.

Zagreb: NATO logo morphs into swastika
ZAGREB: An animated picture of the NATO logo morphed into a Nazi swastika during a presentation given by Croatia's military envoy to the western alliance.
The conference was held in Zagreb, Croatia, local daily Jutarnji List writes, and says that Gen. Drago Lovric was speaking in front of some 200 military attaches, diplomats and members of armed forces.
The GIF image was apparently downloaded from the internet and used in the presentation file, while the newspaper suggests that "some hacker probably infected the alliance's logo with a virus".
The incident happened as Lovrić was speaking, with two screens behind his back, one projecting his photograph, the other the presentation.
At one point, the NATO logo, which was used as the background, started turning into a swastika, but the general was apparently oblivious to what was happening, as were most of those present in the room, says Jutarnji List.
The animation continued to go back and forth between the logo and the swastika until Lovric moved on to the next page.
"Beside a few high-ranking guests, the scandal was also noted by military police members and IT personnel," writes the newspaper.
"However, no one was willing to interrupt the presentation, because it was obvious that most of those present did not notice what was happening. After some 30 minutes, the panel discussion was over."
An investigation has been ordered of this "very unpleasant situation", says the daily, and adds that Croatian Ministry of Defense spokesman Goran Grosinic confirmed that the incident did take place, and that Lovric stated that there was "absolutely no intention on the part of anyone who prepared the presentation for it to happen".
Instead, the Croatian general believes that the animation was "an indirect consequence of virus infections of NATO logos".
