climategate ; from dr.john costella

In other news, it appears that Google has finally stopped censoring the term 'climategate' from its listings, after copping a beating across the planet.

In this country we still have some corners of the press with their heads in the sand, but they're yielding to public pressure.

Cheers
John

it seems like an avalanche, i'm seeing comments on foreign-language newsites where no one used to comment very much at all, coming out of the woodwork calling ipcc a fraud. also, some coverage of a riot in Copenhagen last night, but no details at all on what the protestors were protesting. very odd.

HI HELEN; THERE WAS A REPORT AT NOON THAT SOME PROTESTORS HAD CLIMBED A BUILDING AND HUNG A SIGN I NOTICED THERE WAS ALSO WHAT MAY HAVE APPEARED TO BE REMNANTS OF ALSO A GREEN PEASE BANNER, BUT NOT A
POSITIVE. I BELIEVE WERE 5 ARRESTED..I try to follow some but not being a scientist and with no clear common EVERY day to me i shall call it language for lay men or goils i find it difficult to comprehend the exact whats...to any complete degree though i do have a web friend into the sciences and global warming when and if available who tries to explain some info hopefully that i can comprehend...the reply to DR.JOHN'S paper that i received was it was they thought that

he is saying that there is no relationship between increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the recent global warming.. and therefore – the limiting carbon dioxide emissions, which is what is hoped for at the Copenhagen summit, will be futile. i as well as all others unless involved await much further and clearer information from the media sources who though can and do put their own twist on whatever anytime they choose to, hopefully there shall be some studies released on the web and discussion programs on telly that will further clarify for regular ordinary everyday folks like moi that make the world go around....thanks take care...b:help:

That was here in Sydney where 5 protesters climbed the Sydney Opera house and hung a banner that read 'Stop the Politics Climate Treaty Now' Looked almost as good as it did a few years ago when two other protesters painted 'No War' on the opera house sails before the invasion of Iraq. I saw on a european news channel a copenhagen cop beating this nice young man with a billy club over and over, and the poor guy was just sort of stuck there at the barricade, pressed up there by the crowd behind him. looked more like he was going to work than to a protest. crazy.

Nothing radicalizes a nice young bourgeois more quickly than an entirely unjustified beating from an authority figure... Big Grin
