Intelligence, Espionage and Related Topics: An Annotated Bibliography of Serial Journal and Magazine Scholarship, 1844-1998, compiled by James D. Calder, Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas, contains more than ten thousand articles related to intelligence and espionage, which have appeared in scholarly journals and magazines from 1844 to 1998. You will probably not find it at your local library, but if there is a university near by, the university’s library may have it.

If it includes articles from Covert Action Information Bulletin, Lobster, Ramparts, Rebel et al., I'd trust it...if not.....well there might be some interesting stuff that happened in 1844. Have you seen it or can you vet it based on the above magazines?

It does include Covert Action, Ramparts, and hundreds of other scholarly journals and magazines. While it does go all the way back to 1844, most of it is twentieth century. It includes a wide variety of subjects from the CIA, FBI, deception and includes jouirnals such as Studies in Intelligence. The book can provide a lot of background information regarding intelligence studies, covert operations etc. but if you are looking for specific information such as an article on who conspired to kill Kennedy it will not be found here.

Thanks John. It seems like it may be a very useful reference. Thanks for posting it. I'm interested to see if it is available locally.
