What a night of fabulous fun we have lined up for us in Blighty tonight.

One of the main Brit terrestrial TV broadcasters has a scheduled programme tonight at prime time:

“Lambing Live “- from the sheep sheds in Wales.

Did I fall asleep and wake up in Lower Loonland?

What next? A programme called “How to unwrap a boiled sweet”, with a three man nature team describing the process, in falsely excited whispers, from a concealed hide across the street, sporting marshmallow hats, liquorice all sorts scarves, toffee hacking jackets and pairs of midget chocolate binoculars?

Have TV Commissioning Editors gone completely fooking mad?
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

The Pythons have taken over the world. Or at least your small corner of it.

What they might have offered ...

BBC 2 Presents "Distinctions."

Tonight, the distinction between fish and meat. Here is Sir David Attenborough.

"What is the difference? Between fish ... and meat?

"If one beats one's fish, it dies.

"But is there another, darker, more atavistic distinction ... ?"

Cue Le carnaval des animaux .

Shhhhhh! David, you'll get all the New Zealanders reading this all excited. And truth be told not a few Australians too.

the torture continues.

Tonight's episode (I kid you not!):

Quote: Lambing Live - Kate Humble and Adam Henson report from the lambing sheds in Wales. Adam investigates whether some sheep are smarter than others (sic!), while Kate continues her shepherd training.

You're right Charlie, the programme was pirated from a Monty Python sketch. Here's the proof:
