Shermer is prepping a documentary for the CBC.
I agree that MSM will be pulling out ALL the stops for the 50th. I have some ideas myself. DId Bill Kelly ever come back here? I would like to talk with him. And CD and Jim D. We need to plan big. Bigger than our opposition.

Hi Dawn,
I'm still here.
I always thought that it would take an organized connection bigger and more powerful that those who killed JFK to figure it out.
It's no secret that my modus operandi is geared towards my well placed goals of getting Congressional Oversight Hearings on the JFK Act and a grand jury investigation into the crimes related to the related assassinations and murders.
A Task Force is what is necessary to obtain the proper evidence.
I already have a pretty nice pose of people, incliuding two active and two retired federal prosecutors to help make the grand jury case, but the Congressional Oversight Hearings must come first in order to properly set the stage.
Besides the epic Hawaiian conference that is expected to garner support, strategies and tactics that will play out over the next three years, efforts are already underway to generate public actions over Martin Luther King Day later this month, an event marking the assassintion of Malcolm X in February, and a week long series of activities over mid-March duinrg Sunshine Week, especially in Washington DC, where the concentration of thought should be focused - as DC is the home of the NARA, the evidence on record, Congress and the courts that will rule on Open Government, Joannidies/Morley v. CIA, and other issues over the next few years.
There has been much discussion about the need to counter the HBO-Bugliosi-Tom Hanks production, but I think it shouldn't be so much to stop the production, as the worst thing that could happen is for them to cancel it - and ruin the opportunity for us to respond to it and/or come up with a more compelling, truthfull and more accurate produciton of our own.
One of the things that will be necssary, in my view, is to garner the attention and support of the mainstream, ordinary people, and one of the strengths of the Open Government - Free The Files - Who Killed JFK? movement is that it is non-denominational, non-partisan, neither libearl nor conservative, Republican nor Democrt, and that is a real posiitive plus in DC where they are looking for issues that everyone agrees on.
And as far as I can see, there are few opponents to Morley v. CIA, or Congressional Oversight of JFK Act, and freeing the JFK files and all secret records should be a cornerstone of the new bi-partisan cooperation that the Republicans have claimed to be their new mantra in the new Congress.
One way that I thought would garner general public interest is to hold an assassination film festival, and even give high school and college credit to those who participate and qualify. One of the first big conferences that started the ball rolling to free the files was a Cinema and Politics symposium at American University that was covered by CSPAN that helped begin the movement to free the JFK files and passage of the JFK Act. That vast public audience has to be retapped - and their numbers and influence brought back into the battle to convince this congress to free the files now - or in 2013 instead of 2017 or never.
Of course there are a lot of other ideas as to how to respond and prepare for the expcted unprecidented media and public interest in the JFK assassination, as it builds up to the 50th anniversary, but I think that that Congressional Oversight and Grand Jury are the two avenues that are possible and worthy of pursuit.
I'd like to hear from others about these ideas, because they are certainly not mine alone, especially Dawn, JD and CD,.....
